Lenovo to launch cheapest 4G smartphone in India


Much like IDC's latest report, Chinese smartphone manufacturer Lenovo supports 6% market share inside the rapidly growing smartphone marketplace in India. The company has noticed strong sales volume on the back of its 4G enabled smartphones just like the A6000+, A7000, K3 Note along with the Motorola range of 4G supported smartphones. ET has learned by way of sources that Lenovo is defined to launch India's lowest priced 4G smartphone soon to further strengthen its market write about.

Earlier this month, Lenovo released its cheapest 4G smart dataphone, Lenovo A2010 in Vietnam. The phone costs 1, 690 Vietnamese Dong and that is approximately Rs 4, 970. As this is the cheapest smartphone in Lenovo's portfolio with 4G connectivity, it's likely that the company is going to be launching the same cell phone in India soon. The device is powered by Mediatek MT6735 -- 64-bit quad core processor which includes integrated 4G LTE WorldMode so that it will support and focus on all 4G bands in India.

Lenovo A2010 carries a 4. 5-inch display with a resolution of 854x480p and contains dual-SIM slots. Other components specifications include 1GB GOOD OLD RAM, 8GB storage and a 2, 000mAh battery. We have a 5MP primary camera (with BROUGHT flash), 2MP front facing camera and microSD slot machine for expansion (up to 32GB card supported). With regard to connectivity, you get 4G, Wifi and Bluetooth 4. 0. In addition, it is also on the list of cheapest smartphones with Android Lollipop from the box.

The cheapest 4G smartphone on the market in India is the actual Phicomm Energy 653 that costs Rs 4, 999. Much like our sources, Lenovo's budget 4G smartphone is going to be cheaper than the Phicomm smart dataphone.
