Microsoft Releases Photo Story App for Windows Phone 8.1

Microsoft has launched a brand new photo app for its Glass windows Phone (also Windows 10 Mobile) mobile os. Called Photo Story, the app automatically arranges the top representative photos of an affair together and makes a created video album featuring them. Photo Story is often a product of Microsoft Garage Challenge.

Photo Story is a full-fledged iphone app, which in addition to developing video albums, also offers editing and sharing tools apart many transition effects to allow users to do everything without ever needing a different app. It also lets users add stylised music for the videos.

How the app categorises the images is equally as interesting as the features it is sold with. Microsoft says that the app uses machine learning inside the selection process. It's worth pointing out that the similar feature was introduced simply by Google in its Photos iphone app at its developer conference I/O with May.

The app will get good at recognising and sorting similar photos after a while, Microsoft said. "Photo Story's algorithm isn't only looking for technical quality, such as if it's blurry or the publicity is correct, " the company noted inside a blog post. It looks regarding something called "interestingness" instead.

But how speedy may be the app? Microsoft insists that the app won't take enough time as it does all the processing around the device itself cutting the ready period wasted in uploads in addition to downloads. Photo Story supports voice commands via Cortana, so for example, saying "Story from today" will always make the app start sorting this photos you took today. You possibly can download it from the Glass windows Store.
